The Congressional Youth Leadership Council was granted accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation School Improvement (SACS CASI) accreditation seal. The accreditation process involves three ongoing components: 1) meeting high quality standards; 2) implementing a continuous process of improvement; and 3) engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review.

In addition, these CYLC programs, The National Young Leaders State Conference, The National Young Leaders Conference, and The Global Young Leaders Conference, all meet the criteria of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and have been placed on its National Advisory List of Contests and Activities for 2009-2010.

CYLC is also an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau.
